This little guy is a mover! Once he figured out how to crawl, there has been no stopping him. He likes to stand against the couch and bounce, strengthening those quads, haha! He hasn’t done it much, but he sucks on his toes here and there. He’d rather pull his socks off and suck on them.
Another big accomplishment this month is that Matías got his passport! We will be traveling to Ecuador in June. My parents will be going with us so it’ll be the first international trip for them and for our baby boy! We will be celebrating Matías’ 1st birthday in Ecuador as well. We are so excited to introduce him to more of Mauricio’s family and good friends.
Matías is quite a talker/babbler as well. He says “mamá” the most, and especially when he’s crying. You can even notice the accent…he is definitely picking up spanish ;) He is eating quite a lot as well. We’ve adjusted his schedule a bit so that he’s eating 3 solid food meals a day at breakfast, lunch and dinner. He eats dinner earlier than us, but we sit him in his high chair while we eat so that he gets used to this daily tradition of eating dinner together. He’s mastered the art of picking up and feeding himself baby cheerios. That’s been really fun to watch! (a little scary at first though)
Overall he is doing really well and always making us laugh. We are amazed at how much he is growing and learning every day. We can’t wait to see what is next!
