New Year, New exciting things!!

*sorry for the really bad photoshop work* I haven’t posted in a while, and one of my new year’s resolutions is to make posting a more regular habit. What are some of your new year’s resolutions?

Well we are a week into 2012 and it’s off to a great start for me. It seems like a great time to reflect on the past year and look forward to the new one. Many exciting things happened in 2011: I turned 30 in March, I fulfilled my dream of living in Spain until May, Mauricio visited me in Spain and proposed there, Baker family cruise to Alaska in June, I moved to Phoenix to live with Mauricio in July, I met my future family and Mauricio’s friends in Ecuador for Thanksgiving in November, Mauricio experienced his first Baker family Christmas in Vancouver in December, and finally, Mauricio was offered a job with Longview Fiber and we will be relocating back to Vancouver, WA next week!

Wow what a year! 2012 will be just as busy. With the move, I will be looking for a job as a Web Developer in either Vancouver or Portland (if anyone knows of companies hiring, let me know). We found a great big house to rent and I’m excited to not be living the apartment complex/laundry room/parking spaces life anymore. We are also excited to be back to make wedding planning easier. The wedding will be in August, so still plenty of time, but being close to the location will make thing come together even better. Most of all we are just excited to be back around family and friends in the NW. Of course we will miss all the great people we met in Phoenix, and we look forward to coming back in the summer to float down the Salt River and for them to visit us in the NW for the wedding!

All I know is that I am one blessed lady. I hope the rest of you have reflected on your year and have many things to look forward to in the coming one.

Each new day is a blank page in the diary of your life. The secret of success is in turning that diary into the best story you possibly can.” I wish you Happy New Year and diary full of best stories ever written in your life.
