Newborn Photo Shoot

Newborns are unpredictable, so we were a bit anxious doing a photo shoot with Matías, but wanted to have some nice pictures of him while he is still so new and tiny. We are so glad we did it! A HUGE thank you to our friend Caitlin Elder who took some beautiful shots and was so patient with our fussy little guy. Of course Mauricio got all of his sports accessories in the shoot as well, however he forgot Oregon State, and that’s what he has the most of! Don’t worry, I’m sure he’ll make up for it many times :)

This was the first time probably since becoming a mom that I actually did my hair and makeup all the way. Lately it’s been ponytails and maybe filling in my brows and that’s about it to feel somewhat put together. I usually love to accessorize with necklaces and earrings, but now the only jewelry I wear are my basic pearl earrings (shout out to my Downton Abbey fans!). My wardrobe has quickly become “workout gear”, but I hardly workout these days, haha! Priorities quickly change with a newborn, and I’m adjusting fairly well and enjoying this simplified version of myself :)

These pictures will be such a treasure to look back at over the years as Matías grows. It is so much fun to see his many expressions throughout the day and can’t wait to see as he grows and develops. We hope you enjoy the photos as much as we do!
